At Kapish, we are always looking for ways to improve and provide premium products and services to our customers. We are pleased to announce that we have updated our Kapish Product Licence Agreement which applies to future product purchases and support and maintenance renewals.
Through
feedback and consultation, we know customers want more choice in how you
purchase products, so our new agreement caters for perpetual and
subscription models to meet the need of every customer.
We’ve
also heard you say it would be easier if we have one licence agreement which
covered product support. We’ve listened, and now the updated Kapish Product
Licence agreement covers both.
The
new agreement is effective, 1 October 2019 and will be the agreement for new
product purchases and support and maintenance renewals.
We
expect you have a few questions about what this means for you, so we’ve
answered a few here. Should you have any more queries, please contact us here.
So what does
this mean if I have a product purchased with the previous End User Licence
Agreement (EULA) and Maintenance and Technical Support agreement?
The
agreements issued with your previous purchases and support and maintenance
renewals will remain valid. This agreement will become effective on the next
support and maintenance renewal period.
Will the level
of support and maintenance change with this new agreement?
No.
The levels of support and maintenance have not changed with the new agreement.
They have simply been combined into one master licence agreement which covers
support and product maintenance.
I have
purchased products through a Reseller, will this change affect me?
The
new licence agreement is for the product purchased, regardless of who you
purchased from. When you next purchase a product and/or renew your support and
maintenance, this agreement will take effect. The process in place for support
queries and receiving product updates remains the same.
Can I still evaluate products?
Of
course. We’d love you to. We know that buying a product is a big deal and you
want to make sure it’s going to work for your Organisation. Product evaluations
are not impacted by this new licence agreement and will continue to be a
valuable practice by Kapish to make sure customers can try before they buy and
are confident with their purchase.
